Miranda + Jeremy

August 27, 2020

This intimate wedding in the Ozarks of Arkansas broke all the rules. When Miranda reached out to me about her dream wedding in the woods I was sold. When she told me she was a zoologist in Tulsa and had previously worked at The Ozark Natural Science Center I was double sold. I knew when we got together that our goal was to not only showcase her love for Jeremy but their love of wildlife conservation too. These two decided that an intimate wedding in the forest was just what they needed.

Lover’s Leap

They opted for a first look which required a hike up the mountain with an amazing view. Her mother and best friend set up a changing tent and helped her slide out of her hiking boots and into her fairy inspired wedding gown. It was worth ever tick and chigger. Being able to take a moment to privately enjoy the excitement of the day is something you will never regret.

I Love You and Cake

They nestled down in a grass field near the Center to exchange their vows in front of their friends and family. The vintage carpet lined aisle was scattered with local wildflower petals while Jeremy and Miranda potted a plant to symbolize their growing love for one another.

We ended the night with sunflower cake and plenty of dancing. You don’t have to follow the rules and you can break every tradition when it comes to your wedding day. Don’t let anyone try to convince you that your wedding HAS to be a certain way.
